This piece was done for the non-profit organization, Elevator Projects for a show that took place in an underused urban space, which was turned into a one night performance. This project asked the audience to become agents of change and help the installation to undergo a rapid transformation.
The participants were given objects to break the shells that were mounted to the wall. After the shells were broken a bright blue material slowly leaks out and drops onto the floor.
The audience transformed from spectator, to an agent of destruction. This project was intended to transform the typical viewing experience of art, making not only the object, but the audience part of the work.
